Ale and Olivia’s story began in the U.S., where Ale married Olivia’s father and began her career in interior decoration, focusing on trompe l’oeil.

Ale's work on interior decorations in Los Angeles, allows her to nurture her creative soul, and see what she is capable of doing with her hands.

Olivia's passion for bags started at a young age, something she, clearly, never really shook.

Ale and Olivia spent formative years in Shanghai, where Olivia developed a strong commitment to sustainability and Ale discovered a love for bold colour, pattern, and texture.

Year 2 of Covid, and Olivia is back living at home, she and Ale are both bored, and decide to use some fabric purchased by Ale's mom in India in the 60s, then used to make curtains, to make a bag: Crazy About Olives begins!

Olivia and Ale take their bags to their first fair, Artigianato e Palazzo. Immersed in the beautiful gardens of Palazzo Corsini in Florence, they meet new friends, make meaningful connections, and realise their product is a success.

Fast forward, Ale and Olivia, use any excuse to travel and explore new cultures, and their textiles, for inspiration and for capsule collections. Here they were in Uzbekistan in 2023 looking for vintage suzanis and ikhat fabrics.

In 2025, Crazy About Olives partnered with a number of carefully curated boutiques, creating bespoke pieces and expanding into new spaces around the world. These collaborations marked the beginning of several meaningful projects that followed.

2025 Marked the beginning of many exciting things, including two sales held in Munich, where Ale and Olivia lived for seven years. They are excited to see what comes next!
